RHYTHM TRACKS FINISHED

Chicago, IL -- Ian Vader and Greatest Drummer in the World finished the rhythmn tracks for the new Shred Eagle album today. "The tracks sound great," said Vader's manager, Manny Chevitz. "We look forward to collecting big, fat royalty checks on this one."

Greatest Drummer in the World, Shred Eagle's drummer, left the studio late Saturday night with an entourage of pre-pubescent girls, satisfied with a job well done. "I was in the pocket the entire time," said In the World. "Shit, I was born in the pocket . . . like a kangaroo. It's like I never left the womb."

Vader, Shred Eagle's new bassist who joined the band after Philip Bynoe was kidnapped by terrorists, let his fans know that he held up his end of the bargain. "The bass was smoking," said Vader. "We had to stop between each song to spray down my fret board with a fire extinguisher." When asked how the other members of Shred Eagle performed during the first two days of recording, Vader stated, "In the World kept everyone together. The man is a genius." Vader described the rest of the band as "limited" but noted that he thought "Rock" Rose was a "metal god."

The band's singer, Joe Yesterday, appeared pleased with the chemistry of the band. "I would say there was an exothermic reaction based on a variety of starting reagents," noted Yesterday. "The reaction rate was high, leading to an impressive yield of end products -- 16 great tunes."

Shred Eagle's percussionist, Pierre Plentier, also seemed impressed with the two-day recording session. "Good stuff, even though it's clear we are going to have to re-do In the World's guiro parts because I'm just a technically better guiro player," said Plentier. "However, I thought Greatest Drummer in the World gave it his best shot."

Vader and In the World intend to fly to Los Angeles on August 9. Shred Eagle's new album is slated for release this Fall, and advanced sales data seem to indicate that a groundswell of support is developing in Terre Haute, Indiana.
